Littler’s employment law and AI experience combine with leading technology solutions to help employers navigate workforce transformation.

Littler, the world’s largest employment and labor law practice representing management, today announced strategic partnerships with Legora and Epiq, two leading legal technology and service providers, to help employers navigate the legal, workforce, and operational implications of AI-enabled workforce transformation.

The collaborations build on Littler’s deep employment law experience and longstanding focus on innovation to help organizations move beyond AI experimentation and address a more consequential set of questions: how work should change, where AI should participate, where human judgment must remain, and how accountability and governance should be structured as AI becomes embedded in business operations.

Littler will lead the employment law and workforce governance aspects of this work. Legora, the agentic operating system for legal work, will partner on the design, build and implementation of AI-enabled legal workflows. The collaboration with Legora also builds on the firm’s firsthand experience with the platform globally, including a detailed pilot across its European offices. Epiq will bring complementary capabilities in process and workflow redesign, data readiness, governance, and privacy, as well as technology implementation, training, and organizational change. Together, these capabilities will help bridge the critical gap between AI strategy and execution, including translating legal and governance frameworks into operational practices.

“As employers accelerate their use of AI, they face a range of questions involving technology, workforce strategy, legal obligations and business operations,” said Erin Webber, Littler’s managing director and president. “By bringing together our sophisticated legal counsel with technology and implementation capabilities from Legora and Epiq, we can help clients address those issues more holistically and better leverage AI to develop innovative solutions.”

“The pace of AI innovation requires us to continually look ahead to what our clients will need next and address the full scope of workforce transformation,” said Stephanie Goutos, Chief Artificial Intelligence Officer at Littler. “That means connecting technology decisions with how work is redesigned, how people are prepared and how legal obligations, governance and accountability are managed. These collaborations combine our lawyers’ deep knowledge and understanding of the workplace with technology and implementation capabilities to help clients across the globe successfully lead that change and translate AI strategy into measurable business results.”

“AI adoption is an operational transformation challenge that requires organizations to redesign how work gets done, establish trusted data and knowledge foundations, prepare people for new ways of working, and build governance into everyday decisions,” said Jon Kessler, Vice President and General Manager, Information Governance at Epiq. “Together with Littler and Legora, Epiq supports employers in translating AI ambition into strategic operating models that enable responsible adoption and measurable business outcomes.”

The partnerships are designed to provide organizations with the ability to advance at different rates and pursue different AI strategies. Rather than prescribing a single platform or approach, Littler will help clients evaluate their workforce objectives, legal and governance requirements, and operating context, then bring together the right mix of legal, technology and operational capabilities appropriate to their needs. The model is intended to remain flexible as technologies, business priorities and regulatory expectations evolve.

“AI is changing work itself. Our clients are looking for more than guidance on individual legal issues. They want trusted advisors who can help them understand what these changes mean for their people, their operations and their risk profile,” said Britney Torres, co-chair of Littler’s AI & Technology Practice Group. “Partnering with Legora and Epiq strengthens our ability to meet that need and help clients move confidently from strategy to execution.”

The collaborations further advance Littler’s broader commitment to innovation and its strategy to help define how AI-enabled work is designed, governed, and sustained, while developing new models of technology-enabled legal service delivery for the future of work.
