More than 13,000 legal professionals now use the platform in Germany. The number of users in in-house legal departments is growing particularly rapidly – it has increased eightfold since the start of the year.
Legora, the agent-based operating system for legal work, is opening its first office in Germany. Regional Vice President for DACH, Björn Franke, has been developing the region since June 2026 and will head up the new office in Munich. The opening on September 29 follows strong user growth in the German market: at the start of the year, around 3,000 legal professionals in Germany were using Legora; that figure has now risen to more than 13,000. Legal departments have seen particularly strong growth. The number of German in-house lawyers on the platform has increased eightfold since January.
Across the DACH region as a whole, more than 200 law firms and legal departments now use Legora. Clients include Linklaters, White & Case, Görg, Schönherr, Erste Bank, STRABAG, Commerzbank AG and RWE.
As Regional Vice President for DACH, Björn Franke is responsible for regional growth, building up the local team and office, and developing long-term partnerships with law firms and legal departments in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. “In this market, trust is the key,” says Björn Franke. “This is directly reflected in the growing user numbers in Germany: they show that our solution and our team are resonating with clients in the market.”

Team in Munich set to grow further
Speaking about the German Legora team, Björn Franke emphasises: “In the space of a summer, a handful of colleagues has grown into a whole office. We are now expanding the team further and recruiting new talent in Munich.” Legora deliberately chose the Bavarian capital as its first location in Germany, as the region is home to numerous clients and professionals from the legal and engineering sectors. This should enable the company to further develop and implement its solutions in the German-speaking world in a targeted manner.
This growth in Germany forms part of a broader international expansion. Globally, more than 2,100 law firms and in-house legal departments across over 80 markets are already using the platform. Legora has a presence in 18 cities across four continents. Over the next six to twelve months, the company aims to increase its workforce in the EMEA region to 700 people.
