Global law firm K&L Gates today announced a global implementation of Legora, following a highly successful multi-jurisdictional pilot program spanning the United States, Europe, the UK, and Australia. The rollout reinforces K&L Gates’ leadership in AI-driven legal technology, advancing how the firm delivers legal services while maintaining its longstanding commitment to responsible, client-centric innovation.
The pilot, which involved lawyers across multiple regions, covered a broad range of practice areas including Corporate, Finance, Litigation, Intellectual Property, and Asset Management and Investment Funds. Following strong engagement and positive feedback, K&L Gates will now roll Legora out to 1,000 lawyers across all practices and offices globally.
A defining feature of the pilot was the exceptional involvement of partners, who actively championed the use of AI in day-to-day legal work. Their leadership accelerated adoption across teams and demonstrated how generative AI can be embedded into complex legal workflows in a way that is both practical and impactful.
“K&L Gates approached this pilot with real intent,” said Max Junestrand, CEO & Co-Founder, Legora. “Beyond the breadth of practice areas involved, what impressed us was the level of partner engagement and the firm’s disciplined approach to operationalizing AI across its technology platform. This is a firm that understands how to turn responsible AI into real innovation at scale.”
K&L Gates was particularly focused on client collaboration, exploring how the Legora Portal – a collaborative platform that lets firms securely share work, exchange documents, and collaborate with clients in a seamless experience – could be used to bring clients directly into AI-enabled workflows.
“At K&L Gates, technology has long been part of our DNA,” said K&L Gates Global Managing Partner Stacy Ackermann. “We were early to see how AI would shape the practice of law, and we are investing in it thoughtfully because it strengthens how we serve our clients. Legora expands the range of options available to our lawyers and enables us to deliver the high standards, insight, and efficiency our clients expect and deserve.”
With this firmwide implementation, K&L Gates joins a growing number of global law firms adopting Legora as a core part of their legal technology stack – demonstrating how AI can be deployed at scale in a way that is responsible, collaborative, and deeply embedded in daily legal practice.
Over the past 12 months, Legora has grown from 40 to 300 team members across Stockholm, London, New York, Denver, Sydney and Bengaluru. Today, the Legora platform supports tens of thousands of lawyers every day at 700 customers in more than 50 markets. In the year ahead, Legora expects to more than double in size and open additional global hubs, further strengthening its ability to serve a rapidly expanding international client base.
