Jones Day, one of the world’s largest law firms, has entered a strategic partnership with Legora as part of its broader AI and innovation strategy.
Legora, the agentic operating system for legal professionals, and Jones Day today announced their strategic AI partnership. Lawyers across all Jones Day offices worldwide will gain access to Legora’s platform over the coming months, and the Firm will help shape Legora's forthcoming ontological legal research product through a design partnership. The two organizations will also collaborate on a structured learning and development program — in partnership with Professor Dan Hunter, Executive Dean of the Dickson Poon School of Law at King's College London — designed to deepen AI capability across the Firm, and in collaboration with clients.
Jones Day is a single, integrated global partnership of more than 2,500 lawyers across 40 offices in the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. The Firm has invested significantly in the leadership, governance, talent, and capabilities needed to integrate AI responsibly across its practices. Its decision to partner with Legora follows a structured evaluation of how Legora can help its lawyers work day-to-day, and reflects the Firm's broader strategy of continuing to innovate by combining technology partnerships with its own systems and knowledge infrastructure. The Firm also sees growing opportunities to help clients unlock the value of AI.
"We already have extensive individual AI adoption across the Firm. We are continually exploring ways to combine the relationships, judgment and experience of our lawyers with advances in AI to deliver exceptional client service. Doing so in close partnership with our clients and leading technology providers is central to our strategy,” said Giles Elliott, Global Chair of AI and Innovation at Jones Day. “Legora is an important part of this journey, and we look forward to working together to help shape the next generation of legal AI in ways that create tangible benefits for both our lawyers and our clients."
"We are proud to partner with Jones Day, a firm that has thought carefully about how AI fits within its broader strategy and what it expects from a technology partner. We are excited to build on that foundation with Legora’s technology and legal engineering team, driving adoption across Jones Day global offices, deepening integration across complex litigation and transactional work, and building new capabilities alongside the Firm’s lawyers and clients," said Max Junestrand, CEO and co-founder, Legora.
