Chandhiok & Mahajan (C&M), one of India’s leading full-service law firms, has announced a firm-wide rollout of Legora, following a successful and competitive pilot programme.
The decision marks a significant step in C&M’s continued investment in legal innovation and knowledge infrastructure, with Legora now being deployed across the firm to support lawyers in research, drafting, reviewing, and access to high-quality legal sources.
Legora was selected after a rigorous and competitive pilot process in which multiple solutions were evaluated. The pilot focused on real-world use cases across practice areas, with an emphasis on accuracy, relevance to Indian law, and practical impact for lawyers working on complex matters.
Following strong adoption and feedback from teams involved in the pilot, C&M elected to proceed with a firm-wide rollout.
As part of the rollout, Legora will invest significant time working closely with C&M lawyers, combining legal engineering expertise with a tactical, on-the-ground presence to tailor the platform to the firm’s needs. This hands-on approach was central to the success of the pilot and the subsequent firm-wide adoption.
“What set Legora apart was not just the technology, but the depth of engagement,” said Sujoy Bhatia, Managing Partner, Chandhiok & Mahajan. “The Legora team worked closely with our lawyers on the ground, investing real legal engineering effort to ensure the product addressed India-specific legal realities. That level of partnership was crucial in our decision to roll out Legora firm-wide.”
Amit Kothiyal l, Head of India, at Legora, commented on the partnership and the company’s long-term ambition in India: “We are proud to partner with Chandhiok & Mahajan on this firm-wide rollout. India is a strategic priority for Legora, and our aim is to build the most comprehensive, reliable, and practical legal AI platform for Indian law. Working closely with a firm like C&M allows us to create solutions that genuinely reflect how lawyers practice in India.”
