After a successful pilot that saw rigorous testing by over 100 of its lawyers across multiple practice areas and jurisdictions, international law firm BCLP has now partnered with Legora. The platform will be rolled out across the firm to streamline operational processes and improve efficiency.

The trial period ran over several months, and Legora was recognised as being unmatched in its capabilities by those taking part. BCLP’s lawyers tested the platform in a range of workflows, including document review, due diligence, and legal drafting.

Following an in-depth review, BCLP’s Innovation Team has identified numerous opportunities where Legora can make a real difference in enhancing service delivery and ensuring favourable outcomes for the firm’s clients. The Innovation Team, in collaboration with the firm’s Innovation Champions, will now focus on working closely with Legora’s engineers to integrate the tool further into BCLP’s legal workflows.

Commenting on the rollout, David Boulds, Global Director of Innovation at BCLP, said, “Our partnership with Legora signifies a substantial step forward in the use of AI technology at the firm. We are building on our deep experience in the application of AI to deliver real transformational change to our practice of law."

In line with Legora’s commitment to collaboration and client-led innovation, the pilot incorporated extensive feedback from a diverse group of legal professionals across the firm.

User feedback during the pilot was overwhelmingly positive, and the results demonstrated significant improvements in efficiency, accuracy, and overall satisfaction among the participating lawyers.

Legora’s ability to enable lawyers to work with drastically improved efficiency came to the fore during the trial period - one pilot member described the platform as ‘tremendously useful and irreplaceable when it comes to working with large suites of documents’.

Using Legora, BCLP’s lawyers will be able to have a greater focus on providing the business-critical legal advisory services that the firm’s clients truly value.

Legora’s unparalleled capabilities and quality were also recognised during the trial period, with the pilot user also stating that ‘there is no other comparable tool that is capable of reading and analysing documents with that level of sophistication’.

BCLP is committed to business modernisation, leveraging technology and investing in digital solutions to enhance efficiency and deliver superior client service. The partnership with Legora reflects the firm’s dedication to investing in the most cutting-edge, best-in-class AI technologies to realise these ambitions.

Dan Surowiec, Global Chief Information Officer at BCLP, said: “We are delighted to collaborate with Legora. This partnership will equip our teams with superior tools and insights, enabling us to better address our clients' needs in an increasingly complex legal landscape. Our objective is to remain at the forefront of legal technology, and this partnership underscores our commitment to this goal."

Legora CEO Max Junestrand added: “The feedback from BCLP’s extensive pilot has been exceptional, and we're excited to continue collaborating closely with the firm on future innovations that will only enhance Legora’s unrivalled capabilities as the go-to platform for empowering legal professionals globally.”
